The famous 'All India Scheduled Castes Federation' was founded in 1942 by which prominent leader to politically represent the interests of the depressed classes?

💡 Solution & Explanation

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar founded the All India Scheduled Castes Federation in 1942 to secure independent political representation and safeguard the rights of depressed classes in British India. Other figures like Mahatma Gandhi focused on broader nationalist integration through the Harijan Sevak Sangh rather than separate political electorates. This political party was later succeeded by the Republican Party of India in the post-independence era.
